How Does Your Website Make You Feel?

Two white women with brown hair working on a laptop and an iPad together

Any web developer worth their salt will tell you that a great website will boost your web presence and scale your business to a global audience. But what they might neglect to tell you is how it’ll make you feel.

When you have a website you’re proud of, it’ll impact your entire way of doing business. You’ll be confident telling the world about your online business, and once you feel that way, there’ll be no stopping you.

I’ve worked with Good Egg twice and couldn’t recommend them enough. As someone with little technological knowledge, Holly was patient and really listened to what we needed, working so hard and diligently to deliver the projects. On Theatre Stories and Hidden by Things she designed beautiful websites and assets for us, with brilliant attention to detail. Holly was very open and easy to work with, I only want to work with kind people now, and Holly is certainly that.

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

There’s a good reason we’re quoting Daft Punk lyrics  — those fellas were really on to something. If you’re wondering whether your website is serving you as well as it should, remember to think harder, better, faster, stronger. Why? Because when it comes to researching and buying products/services online, customers want to spend time on websites that…

Work Hard So They Don’t Have To

By adding automation and smart functionality, your website makes it easier for potential customers to learn, inquire, and buy. And we should all be working smarter, not harder, right?

Look Better Than Your Competitor’s

You know how people judge a book by its cover? They do that with websites, too. Your online presence should be eye-catching, on-brand, and an absolute breeze to navigate.

Load Fast With Zero Wait Time

Nobody wants to hang around waiting for a website to load, and if your pages are lagging, your customers won’t wait. Hook ‘em with a fast-loading site and a stress-free experience.

Deliver Strong Performance On All Their Devices

Most web traffic comes from mobile, so you’ve got to be confident that your website performs strongly and looks pixel-perfect on every screen size imaginable.

If you don’t have a website or you’re worried that yours isn’t quite cutting it, we can help.

The work we do ticks all the above boxes, and then some.

Our Website Services

Did you know that It takes users just 0.05 seconds to decide whether they like your website? Customers are as ruthless as your mates swiping on dating apps — if they don’t love what they see, it’s on to the next.

Our web development services are designed to make that first impression count. We offer three customisable options, as well as extra-value packages where we not only build the website but write the copy and cover your content marketing, too.

New Website Development

You provide the copy (or we can handle that for you) and your website wishlist. We build you a website that’s fast, responsive, and beautifully designed.

We use WordPress and Elementor, which give great customisation whilst still being dead easy to use. Once your shiny new site has been built and thoroughly tested, we’ll hand it over with an easy-to-use guide on how to keep it updated.

Money-Making Functionality

Want to take the mental load out of making money? We’re low-key obsessed with using automation for draining admin tasks, so you can handle the more important (and fun) areas of your biz.

Options for enhanced functionality include an online store, booking calendars, courses, membership areas, and blogs with affiliate marketing.

Ongoing Maintenance

Coding is literally a whole other language, so there’s no shame in not feeling confident about maintaining your own website.

If you’re less tech-savvy or tight on time, opting for our website maintenance service gives you peace of mind that everything is running smoothly behind the scenes.

What's it Like to Work with Us?

If you’ve realised your website needs some pizazz, the next task is figuring out how to get the job done. There are loads of brilliant website developers out there, but it’ll come as no surprise that we think we’re the right gals for the job.

We Listen to Your Vision

Instead of jumping in with what we think you need, we let your pain points guide our project proposal. Once we’re confident we know what you want and how much you feel comfortable spending, we put together a bespoke plan for your site.

You Get Our Undivided Attention

We only work on one full website build at a time, so your site gets our undivided attention throughout the entire process. We aren’t jugglers so we won’t attempt to do that with your business. And because we’ve only got one ball in the air, you can be confident we won’t drop it.

We Communicate Clearly and Regularly

How infuriating is it when you hire someone to help you out and they miss emails or talk jargon at you? We’ve been on the receiving end of this and it’s a miserable position to be in. Communication is our jam and you can be confident that you’ll hear from us as much (or as little) as you want — and in language that you understand.

We’re Not Going to Ghost You Once the Project is Finished

Your site being completed doesn’t have to be the end of our working relationship. As standard, we provide a full handover and give you all the tools you need to take care of your snazzy new site. Or if you’d prefer, we can handle updates and maintenance for you on an ongoing basis

Why Move Your Website Off Shopify?

If you’re an e-commerce business and you’ve already got a Shopify store, you might not see the point in forking out to switch to a WooCommerce-enabled WordPress site.

If you’re planning on growing your business (and we’ve got an inkling that this might be your goal), Shopify is gonna get mighty expensive as you start selling more. Not only will WordPress work out cheaper, but it’s also much more customisable and will grow with you as you add products, services, and/or features.

Here’s an example of the difference in fees between WooCommerce and Shopify:

WooCommerceShopify BasicShopify StandardShopify Advanced
Annual website costsApprox £120£228£588£3108
Credit Card rates (UK & European cards)1.4% + £0.202% + 25p1.7% + 25p1.5% + 25p

* Fees taken from WooCommerce and Shopify’s UK‘s pricing pages. Correct as of October 2023.

Making the switch might sound like a total headache but it’s easy when you know how — and we do! We even have a package built specifically for business owners upgrading their store from Shopify or Etsy.

Can’t Find What You’re Looking For?

If tech isn’t your thing and the info on this page is making your head spin, fret not! Just drop us a message and let’s chat. You can tell us what you think you might need and we’ll put together a jargon-free proposal for you.

There’s no obligation to work with us once you have your proposal — just look at it as free advice from Good Eggs who want your business to succeed.
